Haven't been on the site for a while so don't know if this has been discussed. Didn't see anything on search. I'm interested in the Ecoboost engine in one & wondering when can one be ordered/delivered?
Well I hope Sir Charles is right, but a recent post had the Ford 2011 manufacturing schedule and the '11 F150s were going to start production on Nov 2_ Not exactly sure but it was 20 something of November.
If job 1 isn't until 11/22, they probably won't hit dealer lots until the middle or end of Jan. 2011. Sadly I can't wait that long for a new truck and do not like the performance of the 5.4 at all.
Hopefully the 3.7L V-6 and the 5.0L will hit the streets in the Stang before January. It would be nice to get a dash board glimpse of the motors before the F-150 debuts them.
Nov build date is sure late... Heck 2010 Fusion was out in July 2009. 2011 F150 out in Jan 2011?
Ford could have started to call F150s 2011 same time as new Superduty (this spring) and then had the 2011s be 2012's?
Now imagine if there is any issues with the 2011s w/new engines coming off the line. Will be held back. Lets just hope the wait is worth it! cough sixpointtwo cough
My lease ends in April 11' as long as I have enough time to have a few people buy them and put some miles on them before me...I may consider getting one when the lease is up - I have the 5.4L in my 08 and I'm actually quite impressed with it.
Then again I only had a problem with my 5.0L in my 79 when I was pulling a 85 blazer on a car trailer over the burlington skyway with my foot on the floor barely doing 85KM/h rofl.
I'd just like to at least see some official information on the new engine choices; too many rumors spinning and not enough real info.
