I don't want to under price but I also now that most folks around here don't have much money and would like to ge tthe jobs. I used to plow up north with my dad and we also had to fix and repair stuff all the time and it could get expensive. They are now saying that we could get up to another 9" in the next couple of days. Wish I had bought my plow last summer, I could be making money with all this snow. But getting the down payment for this house was more important than a plow so this summer will have to work. Drink alot of coffe Dave and stay warm.
Well we haven't gotten all the storms you have but know they are telling us that we may get another this coming weekend. Man it should be in the lower 40's buy now and some days warmer where I could get the bike out. At this rate I will not have time to get an area started for our garden this year.
Well they sent us home again today at noon due to bad raods. The Bronco did great getting us home as always. It is still snowwing and they say it will go till tomarrow sometime. This is not the weather I had in mind when I moved down here lol. Has this thing made it to you yet Dave? If I had that plow this year it would be aboput paid for by now.
I think i'll go with my original plan then. 2 4"sq box beams stacked, welded airtight, with a 2" receiver in the center. I'll weld up a mount to run the winch from the hitch.
I'm thinking about using the front bumper as a holding tank for an on-board air system...dunno yet...
I thought about that, making a path for the cable to come out of the winch then over a pulley then down to a plow. If i can't find a cheap plow then i might go this route...
We only got about 9" of the white stuff yesterday. In the last week or so we have gotten more than our all winter average. Now the wind is blowing it all around and causeing drifting. I haven't seen drifts like this since I moved down here.
Well about 6" more last night, wind still blowing, snow still falling.
More to plow again tonight.
I think we get a break tomorrow night, just in time for the next storm Thursday.
I should go out and crawl under the truck, I think I was a little hard on one of the U joints last night.
What I feel may just be from all the state DOH trucks running chains though.
