I have two Bosch batteries in my truck that I've had load tested at 2 different places, both of which say both batteries are bad. When I took them in to Pep Boys (where I bought them) for warranty replacement, their machine shows both batteries to be good. Does anyone know of a retailer other than Pep Boys that sells Bosch batteries? The Bosch website absolutely sucks, and was of no assistance . . .
I agree with tseekins, I would pony up the money (I know it is tight) and buy some new batteries, but I would go with optima yellow top they may very well be the last batteries you buy.
Money is *extremely* tight at the moment. My business (marine canvas and upholstery) drops off sharply during the winter. If i could afford to buy two new ones, believe me I would. However, since these are under the full replacement portion of the warranty, I'd much prefer to go that route if I can. I read somewhere that recently Bosch changed manufacturers (their batteries are made by someone else and just relabeled), and are now made by Exide. Still not great, but they have to better than whoever made them before. This will be the third set of them in 2-1/2 years . . .
I understand the money issues I was out of work for 6mths last year so my money it tight too, have you tried a different pep boys? I had orielly tell me a starter was good one time, took it to AZ and it tested bad there.
I don't know what you did to find that, but when I put in any Dallas area ZIP code, it returns exactly zero results, no matter which option I select . . . A lot of places sell Bosch fuel injection parts, but I can't find anyone around here other than Pep Boys that sells Bosch batteries. I'm starting to wonder if they are Bosch-branded exclusively for them.
