Short in steering column

Turn signals and flashers are affected when I adjust steering wheel position...

Does any body know what color wire I'm looking for and if there is is a previous thread for this??

Early 99 7.3 no recent work done in 3 months....

If you pull the covers , you will find a wire or two , that have a soft spot in them ,where the copper is broken inside the plastic , or completely broken ...

yup pulled covers and both clips on main harness connector are broken will try to post picks later...super glue n small zip ties for now

Yeah, it's not an uncommon problem. And yeah, yer right, it's been covered a few times. There's a really good thread in the Excursion forum detailing this problem I'd link you to, but I see you've already got it figured out and fixed.
