hey guys a budy of mine has a 99 f150 and the locks dont seem to work right..when he hits the button they only go halfway but when he uses the key they will go all the way down..do u guys have any idea to what may be wrong and how to fix it..

Cheaper yet there is a thread somewhere here with detailed instructions on how to remove and fix the actuators yourself.
Did them on my 01 and they work perfectly for well over two years before I traded the truck. I did the easier fix with tin foil instead of a penny.

nothing wrong with the actuators. the push locks rub against the plastic trim peice that they come up through on the door. take a flat screwdriver and pop the plastic peice off. theyll slide up and down much easier. the only thing is it doesnt look as clean
