I recently posted about a diesel smell in the cab, well when I changed my oil this weekend I found that the two blue cac tubes I could see both had large amounts of oil stain about them. After further inspection I discovered cracks in the upper tube. Both upper and lower tubes seem to be shot due too the oil all over the tubes, engine, and driveway. I would say that the smell im smelling could be oil instead of fuel but my question is how much are these tubes ( the ones most visible when you open the hood ) and is it as straightforward to replace them as it seems( two clamps that you unscrew with a wrench) . Thank you for your help in advance.
I can't price them for you but I can give you a tip to work on in preparation of changing them. The oil is probly coming from the crank case ventalation system. There are several verisions posted in this forum to over come the oil in tubes, search" CCV MOD" to see what others have done. The tubes are easy to change.

Another tip I heard was to swab the mating surfaces with brake cleaner (spray on wiping rag first) then apply hair spray to the mating surfaces iot gain a better seal.
