99 mountaineer questions
I bought a low miles 99 mountaineer with the 5.0 in it . The vehical had been hit very hard on the passenger front . I had planned to use this motor and harness for a swap I was doing . (I started the engine and it seemed to be fine ) So I decided to cut doghouse off the front to remove engine and harness . I carefully moved the wiring harness away from where I was cutting with the torch and began cutting . I was paying attention to my work when smoke filled the passenger compartment and a pretty decent fire was under dash . (passenger side) By the time I got back with fire exiguisher I only could save the engine compartment .
My question is what kind of efi system is it ? Is the intake system a descent intake to work with performance wise ? Would this be a gt 40p intake ? can I use a differnt computer from a stang or thunderturd ? Sorry for the questions but I have limited FI knowledge and decided ask the guys that know these vehicals best . THANKS RG
