I have a rust free box for a 1978 Camper special , its the Super Camper Special style with 2 gas doors and the spare in the box side door.
It has some dings and dents but no rust.
This isnt a for sale ad, but its going to be for sale as I think Im going to put a flatdeck on the truck.
Just thought id post it here in case another member needed it before I put it on Craigslist.
OK, That would be awesome, Are you converting your truck to a stakebed or something?
Eventually I'ma make my truck a dually hook-truck.
Do y'all like Super Camper Specials?
Then vote for my truck in Round-2, It's the first link in my signature.
I Know.It's an F-350 140" WheelBase bed.
It's specific to the Super Camper Special/F-350 Camper Special/F-350 Trailer Specials.
The wheelbase is moved back 7" to accoidate the spare tire carrier in the bed.
These trucks, are very heavy duty.
They have 10" deep frame rails.
Overload springs, heavier suspention, bigger brakes, thicker radiator, which is part of the Super Cooling package. They also have a 10,000 GVW.
In '77 Ford dropped Super off of the name "Super Camper Special" which then became F-350 Camper Specials.
Yup - and I've been helping a local guy find homes for the parts off one. I've got a rust free box quite a bit south if anyone is looking for one down this way.
Other parts too - but sorry no gas tank Anthony. It's ending up in my crew cab now that I figured out the SCS's had the narrow frame rails like highboys
