4x4 not working

4x4 not working
The four wheel isnt working on my truck was wondering where i should start to soolve the problem. Its a 69 f250 with the dana 24 tranfer case. I pretty sure the hubs are locking in but from there I could use sum help. thanks

The shift linkage gets pretty loose and worn and will not ingage the transfer case all the in to 4wd. Plus if the mount pad our in need of replacing can also be why it's not going in or staying in 4wd..Left front is the drive wheel unless you have a locker up front.. my 2 cents..
