no tricks?? i am trying to finish getting this truck back together so i can work tomorrow. i was just wondering if there was a way anyone knew of so i dont have to waste all that fluid and time bleeding it out
What kind of trouble are you having? You should be able to put it back on by pushing the piston in and sliding it back onto the tranny. If you can't push it back in enough as it is, loosen the bleed screw a crack and you should be able to compress it without loosing much fluid and without having to bleed it.

It took me awhile and a little frustration to figure out how to get the slave cylinder back in too. What I did is to place the pushrod end from the slave into it's spot on the clutch fork, then I pushed HARD to compress the cylinder, and used a small nylon hammer to tap the cylinder body in place so I could put the holding clip in place. It worked like a charm! It just popped into place.
