Overdrive switch supposed to "click"?
I just picked up this 01 F150 and the overdrive switch doesn't work. The fuse is good. I know about the potential wiring issue at the bottom of the shift lever which I will deal with if it is the issue, but before I get into it that far I might not overlook the obvious.
The button at the end of the shifter has a soft mushy feel with no "click" as might be expected from any normal switch. Is it supposed to click on and off or is it normal that I feel no "click" when I push the button? I'd rather switch out the button than rip out the lever and play with the wires if its obvious that the switch is actually the issue.
