Fuel Injector Cleaners

Anybody had any experiences, good or bad, with "over-the-counter" fuel injector cleaners, such as STP, Gunk-Out, etc? I'm suspicious that these are just a good way to get rid of extra cash.

Thats what I here. Several car forums I frequent say its just "snake oil" others say its worth the money. So, who know...??

Fuel Injector Cleaners

I just put in some Chevron Fuel Injector cleaner in my Explorer. My friend uses it all the time and says it works. So I'll see. I trust him but, you can't always trust the product.

Ok so the Chevron Fuel injector cleaner really works. I've noticed a significant difference in driving performance. You should get it.

Fuel Injector Cleaners

If you are running premium fuel don't bother. If you are running 87oct. then once a month won't hurt. Anymore than that and you are going to burn out your O2 sensor. My dealership uses the Ford/Motorcraft FI Cleaner evry time I get my oil changed.
