Cruise Control Buttons
I have a 98 with 160K miles, just getting broken in. The Cruise Control buttons (resume, set/accel, coast) on the Right side of the steering wheel is loose, the top part of the button module unhooked it self. How do I reseat the module? Other then that it works just fine.

If you are talking about the switch, its just as simple as 2 little quarter sized plugs on the side of the steering wheel, pry those off, then there are bolts back there, those are 10mm I think. That releases the airbag, no need to disconnect, just set it on top of the steering wheel. The switches are held on by a couple of Phillips head screws.

Sounds as if someone damaged the switch itself, you may need to junkyard another one. They are difficult to come across in the junkyard undamaged as they seem to be destroyed by the salvage yards when they pull the airbags off. Keep in mind that Explorers use the exact same switches, when you are looking.
