Since you lost it anyway, you could go buy a real oil pressure gauge and connect it to that hole. If you want anyway. I would probably use that as an excuse to do it.
One piece of advice if you go with a pipe plug like I did. Don't over tighten the plug. I used a regular plug with a square male head, not a square female recess like the original. Yesterday I was attempting to remove this plug and twisted the square head right off. Believe me, this is not an enjoyable place to be drilling a plug out to use an extractor. I was lucky and got it out without drilling completely through, and the factory plug is now back in place.

Thanks people. Looks like I am going to have to get one from the local plumbing supply to hold me over till I get one from Ford. Was it a steel or brass plug that broke on ya?
