4 speed question

I have a 4 speed trans, is there any different in a small block 4 speed compared to a big block 4 speed? I know the bell-housing, fly-wheel etc. are different. I just need to know if the transmissions are different. Are the pilot shafts the same, the spline the same? Can anybody answer these questions?

Big block FE four speeds have a bigger input shaft with different splines compared to the Windsor family.

the input shafts are the same i just put a 390 in a truck with a 302 no problem it was a borg warner, however the new process might be different thou. you will need the frame horns for the new motor bellhousing and clutch kit should go right together no problems.
