I have a 95 f250 351w it will just stall after 5-20min of running then it will start back up after 2 hrs or so. i have replaced the distributor, coil, and ignition mod, still doing the same thing, any ideas what else i need to check.
Does it have spark during the two hour "wait period"? If it does it must be fuel related because last I checked the atmosphere still has plenty of oxygen to support combustion. You have already replaced the most common causes, ICM and distributor/PIP.
1. Pull a plug (ground the outer electrode) or use a spark tester then momentarily ground the negative side of the coil, you should see a spark. This verifies the coil is working properly. If that works go to step 2.
2. Pull the SPOUT, see if you get spark at the tester or pulled plug. If you still do not have spark it has to be the PIP or the circuit between the two. If it does have spark it could be the PCM. With the SPOUT pulled the ICM is left to itself to time when the park happens.
Note: Have you tried checking for any stored codes or ran any KOEO tests? Even with no Check Engine Light (CEL) on you could have a problem and a code to lead you in the right direction.
