Had a great time at LCMMC sat. Met Furian, ncheavymetal and his wife, weather was great, ProBadd flat track record set at 1.909 for the 160' track, the mud racing was awesome. We need to have a gtg at BigLick so we can watch 06silvercrew pull that sled.
Nice meeting Fuzzy and Furian. I'll second what fuzzy said! Great weather and racing. My wife and I got there at about the halfway point. We had family in town and a soccer game that morning.
I'd say it was a pretty big crowd out there. Met Fuzzy and Furian in the stands and they filled us in on what we missed. Got there in time for the last probadd heats which was awesome. These rigs have some serious power. Mega fast if they got it hooked up off the line. Some couldn't get the hook but were still pretty fast. Most of them kept it in the middle. I remember two nudging the guardrail. That was kind of scary/exciting to see. The smell of fuel and the roar of the engines and lightning fast times made this class a blast to watch.
Next up were the class 2 trucks in the "hill-n-hole" pits. Two nasty pits with some serious goo split by two humps. Very exciting to watch. Each driver had their own way of trying to navigate the pits. The variety of trucks in this class was interesting as well. Quiet a few full runs but a few folks got left in the muck. At which point they would have to crawl out and put a hook on their truck so the backhoe could pull it out. One driver almost turned it over but recovered nicely and finished the run. He was DQ'd though for leaving the pit.
Now on to the class 4 trucks in the same nasty "hill-n-hole" pits. These rigs were way more modified and had some serious power. These trucks would get all four tires off the ground flying over the humps only to be bogged back down in the next pit. Grinding and powering through to the other side.
The Lee County folks put on a great event. Lots of kids. Great view of the tracks. My wife and are already planning to come back with the kids and spend the afternoon out there cooking some burgers and enjoying the racing.
I didn't get any photos. My wife took a few with her cell phone. I'm hoping Furian or Fuzzy will post some.
I'd like to make a Big Lick event this summer. It would be cool to see 06silvercrew dragging some weight.
Hey guys, I too had a great time and am glad that we were able to meet one another! I'm not a professional photogragher and my camera's battery died about 4 hours into the event so I wasn't able to take as many pics as I would have liked... Here is the link my Photobucket.com account and a few highlights of the event!
Great pics! Glad to hear it was a success! I had a great time at PINKS until the rain came. Got to go back yesterday for the final round. Was PLEASED that a ford (white fox body coupe) won the show!
Sorry to hear about the rain,Scott. It started to sprinkle on me just as I was leaving the track, and the rained most of the way home. Glad to hear that a Mustang won the event. I just hope it was all Ford and not a b@$tard. A lot of fox bodies around the dragstrips with BBC's and SBC's in them.

Yeah, I see them all too often myself! Im pretty sure it was ford powered.
I must admit though I would love to have a fox with an LSX powerplant.
