How many starter +ve's?

Stoopid question. in a duel battery system, does only ONE of the batteries have a positive cable going to the starter? I thought that this was the case, but I was searching through the forums for another answer and I got confused.

Yes the one on the passenger side, however they are hooked together positive to positive, if hooked up backwards you will have 24 volts and fry some things.

The pos. cable runs from the driver side battery over to the pass. side battery then down to the starter. So one cable to the starter, but pulling juice from both batterys.
