Engine Swap
I am looking at swapping a 93 7.3 idi into a 89 f350 4x4 5spd manual. Wondering how difficult or how much custom work will be required. The 7.3 idi will be coming out of a 93 f350 that is 2wd and has an auto tranny but wanna keep the 5 spd manual that is in the 89 which currently has a 460 in it.
Any information would be appreciated.

The 5spd from a 460 will not be usable behind the 7.3.

yup the diesel bellhousing is different. You need the tranny from a diesel truck
