Check the back of your drivers license. Mine says I can operate any motor vehicle with a GVWR of less than 26,001 lbs. Find out the weight of the truck and then add to the dozer/trailer.
I recently moved across country and I hauled my car on a trailer and pulled another trailer behind that. My total weight was estimated at 16,000 so I was fine.

I believe that the op is referring to the capability of the 2011 F-250 and not what he can legally operate on his drivers license.
That's bad news because I can't get a smaller dozer. I don't want anything larger than the F 450 but I'm excited that I have to get the 450 instead of the 250!
The legal issue is crucial here. The 250 is having the same powertrain what F450 does (with different differential) but the whole issue is in the brakes.
This is the question you should ask the selling dealer and request confirmation in vehicle data. Don't expect too much from anybody. I got pulled over last year for carrying backhoe on my F450 and the cop gave me fix it ticket for not having semi-truck registration on it. I went to DMV, filled up a form marked "pickups excluded" and after paying additional fee got different classification on 10-years old truck.
One of your biggest concerns is going to be staying under the rear GAWR. That's one of the things that will get you if you're not careful.
FWIW, I agree with those recommending the F-450. The advertised tow rating for the F-350 DRW with the Tow Boss package is 17,700 but with something like a dozer on a trailer behind the truck, I'd want to go with an F-450 at a minimum.
