Jan.25th build date

I noticed in a thread a few weeks ago that a few of us had the same build date of Jan. 25th for a SCREW. I have my Vin for a while and typically the salesman won't return my call for any up-dates on either a delayed build date or that it was in transit? So has anyone heard anything? My problem is I sold off my older 4X4 and am left with my rotten 78 Ranchero with snow coming again.

My truck had a build date of Dec. 8th and it showed up at the dealer in the early morning of Dec. 17th. That's 9 days to install the remote start and ship it from KC to Detroit (don't know why it wasn't built in Dearborn) So your truck should be their any day.
Sounds like you need a new salesman.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, the salesman is the only one at the truck portion of the local Ford dealership. He probably doesn't care much about my truck as I beat him up on the price quite a bit and ordered only a few options on the XLT.

Guess your salesman doesn't know how irate we grunts can get when people don't give us our due respect, like by not returning phone calls... I'd tell him in front of other customers how terrible his customer service skills are and you won't give him any future business. 11Bang Bangs deserve better.

Stephen, you made this combat disabled vets night. My MOS was 11B40 which may not exist anymore? What got me smiling was the term 11Bang Bangs which I had never heard before. 1st Bn. 5th (M) Infantry, 25th Inf. Div. RVN 68-69

11B4O... SFC? I was an 11B2P when I was injured in A$$crackistan years ago... Stayed in a few more years and got into intel and got out last year, but I'll allways be a grunt at heart. 1/504, then 2/504 PIR, 82 ABN DIV, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq. 11 Bang bang, 11boo hoo, 11 bad boy- there were tons of them. Of course, we always just called ourselves dirt darts. Airborne!
Good luck with the dealer and I'm sure you'll love the new truck... My VA checks are paying for mine!

Called the dealer today, and the truck is now in NJ after it's rail trip from Dearborn. I should get it next week. We may get snow and if that is the case I guess I'll make the trip to the skeet range in the 67 M37. And 11B40 was the MOS for E5 three striper.

Awesome man! I'm sure you are out enjoying your new "toy". I didn't spend much time on the computer after I got my new one last month. Too much cool stuff to check out. Congrats!

I really enjoy you vets hamming it up. Really, you guys are awesome. Me and my family truly pray thanks to our service men and women, like yourselves, that payed for our freedom. If I had it my way, Ford would give you the new truck of your choice, until then I will gladly pay double my taxes to the VA.
Thanks a million.
If your ever in my neck of the woods - drinks on me.

I may take you up on that someday... I live in WA but my wife is from Fayetteville (we met while I was stationed at Ft Bragg) and we go back about every year...
