I have been going thru the searches on brake pads and it seems the Hawk LTS is a top rated for superduties. My question is, does anyone have any experience with them without new rotors? Every post I see shows the pads with rotor swap and I am just looking to put some better pads on the truck than what I got. My rotors are in great shape.
I don't haul more than 6-7K in weight and truck is used mostly as a daily driver with 800lbs of tools in the bed. I also see Hawk has a SD but from what I have read it is not as dust free as the LTS. I thought I wanted ceramic like my F150 but research shows not as great stopping power. Any help would be appreciated.
I have Hawks on my Excursion. I also added Powerslot rotors cause Ford did not put thick enough rotors in the first place and they warp. Best to do the full upgrade. But the pads are awesome!
