04 Navigator Overheated Seat

Found a 2004 Navigator at the auction last week while just browsing around and opened the passenger side door and found a totally burnt seat bottom.
I took a pic. but now I'm not able to post, it as soon as I'm able I'll edit this post to show it, the seat was burnt to the point of being ablr to look at the springs, power motors and the floor. I'm glad I wasn't sitting there.

Has anyone else had a heated seat actually burn up/catch fire?

How do you know it wasn't just a cig dropped on it?? I've never heard of a power seat, a heated seat or a cooled seat burning up.

The hole is perfectly square and must be an outline of the in seat heater.

A pic of the seat is in my album. Enjoy, just one more thing to worry about.

The pic is now up, thanks to Dan, Fordtech08
