Hey, thanks for the help on this carburator. I won't get to tear into it until this weekend. I do have a aftermarket electric fuel pump. It pumps 9-12. I'll let yall know what I find. Jesse

The aftermarket pump runs 9-12 psi? Sounds like too much fuel pressure. I think most stock pumps run 5 to 7 psi. Your pump might be overpowering your needle and seat, flooding the carb, or at least causing an over rich condition. You might want to try a fuel pressure regulator set at 6 psi.

I agree, IMHO you probably are making way too much fuel pressure for that carb... I was running a 5 to 7 psi on my 302 2bbl and it was more than adequate.. that is normal for a stock street engine... get a regulator and throttle that puppy down some...
