Hey Chris I called down there today and Jody is out heading to a test and tune...He will be back the 9th I think....I have another car to drive so I can wait till he returns...Im pretty sure I have pcm damage as well as other issues..The harness from my chip had a bad wire in it.A couple of time when i switched my box the motor would shut down and the display would blank out..Im pretty sure that was from the harness....I did not tie down the harness like I should have and it was flopping around witch probably cause the bad wire deal....
I put my other computer in it today and still no go....When searching here I can across where you were helping a guy with a ambulance with a no start issue. Was that whole thread real or was he just trying to get in the door to advertise...... I tried to pm you about that but I cant yet...With that post in mind do you think a scanner would tell me much needed info to resolve this...If a scanner is needed what kind do you recommend....I must say i was impressed with all that mombo-jumbo that was going back and forth... Thanks Matt
If the thread ended with me telling the guy that his last post was removed and not to bother to try again, then he was just reading a manual making stuff up to gain a following of his thread, then he tried to recruit everyone over to some other site.
The scanner many of us use is the enhanced Ford bundle from Auto Engenuity. It's on the pricey side, but most scanners won't read codes on our diesel, so it's worth it. The problem is, if it's a bad PCM, you likely won't be able to connect to it, so you'll just be staring at an "Unable to connect" message.
Shoot Jody an email. They do check emails while they are traveling. You might try getting a hold of Clay at Riffraff Performance. He's a DP dealer. Give him the info on what your chip came out of, your PCM code, as well as the PCM code for the 450. He might be able to tell you if the other PCM should at least get your truck to start.

Dude thanks a ton for all your help....I guess Clay is a member here? Ide rather buy form a board member.....Yes that is the thread I was referring to...The one where his last post was deleted.....Man he went thru a bunch of trouble and wasting of time to try and pull that deal off..... I think that a scan tool would get me in the right direction on this and then ill have it for stuff at work and in the future.... Thanks Again Matt
EDIT I went ahead and ordered it from Clay...I hope it will be here soon...Ill let ya know what i find....

I had a very similar problem late last year. Truck died around 30 to 40 mph; pulled over, crank but no start; changed the CPS, cranked right up.
Drove 100 yds and died for good. Had it towed to the house; did all the scan for codes and checked all the obvious areas, still crank, but no start.
Had it towed to the local diesel shop (not a dealer ship) and 16 hrs of labor later it turned out to be a loose connection at a power supply to I think the PCM relay on the fuse panel.
The mechanic was running his hand behind the panel and felt the plug move; pushed it in and he heard the "click"; started right up and has been running fine since then.
Sometimes these issues are caused by very simple problems.
Good luck hunting,

Well i found out the fuel pump relay is inside the fuse block....Being a maintenance man for 20 years my thinking is if they put it together i can take it apart and fix it...Well i pulled the box and removed the covers....Not only is the fuel pump relay in there 5 relays are in there... I put it all back together and still no start.....Thanks for the input but thats not what killed mine...Over the years I have learned on problems like this when you find the cause it usually a pretty simple fix....
Well good news bad news...After work I went out to check some things....I had my spare computer in the truck and the key on...I was looking for any voltage to different sensors....I first checked i think is the oil pressure sensor in the head...No voltage on any of the 3 wires ....Next i tested the oil pressure switch in the top of the hpop...I also check the oil level in the hpop...I had 10+- on the hpop oil switch to ground.....Well the I saw some "not" factory electrical tape on the wires to the exhaust back pressure sensor....So i unplugged the sensor and started to remove the tape to inspect why it was there....I forgot I still had the key on and while I was pulling the wires up I heard the fuel pump cycle on....I had the batteries on charge so i waited a few minutes to let them charge and warm up....I plugged eveything back up and turned the key and it fired up....So I guess I have a short/lose connection in the front half of the engine harness....I ran it for a few minutes and then put my stock pcm back in and it would not start...So with that being said I guess I messed up the stock pcm when i removed the DP when it shut down to start with.....Is that something that Jody or ""Clay if you see this ""can fix or test or should I start looking for a pcm....Sorry to long winded just wanted to give an update...Oh the truck didnt run correctly with my spare pcm, but it is out of a 01 e450... Is there differences in them....The check engine light is now on and the OD off light was flashing.... Here is the good news....Clay sent out my scanner stuff today so i have a new toy to play with ....
Check your ICP sensor on the front of the drivers side head and see if there is oil in it. Try unplugging it and see if it will start with your PCM in it.
If you PCM is fried I can't help you fix it. But I do have a spare if you need it, what year is your truck?
Hey Clay I dint pat attention to see if there was oil in it when i checked for voltage ...Ill try that tomorrow if it drys up for a few minutes..We have a hell of a rain/snow storm heading this way.....My truck is a 2002 and my spare computer is a 2001e450...When I ran it this afternoon it kinda stumbled and had a whitish smoke when I reved it to clear it up... Im also going to put my stock cps back in...I think my whole problem started with either a bad connection at the cps or a bad spot in the cps wiring...Ill clean it all up inspect the wires and put some special sauce in the connector when i hook it back up....
Sounds like you're making progress. Now if it were me, I'd stick the original PCM back in there to see if you got lucky and did not fry your PCM. If you're lucky the short in the harness has been your problem all along and your PCM is still safe.
