i posted up about this issue a while ago and still havent got this thing ironed out. first its my 94 f-150 4x4 5 speed 300. just rolled 246k. list of new parts: IAC, oil pressure sending unit, tuned up, blah blah. it will only surge when its either on a cool morning or if its really humid or raining. on some occasions it will do it when its sunny and nice out but it seems like whatever is causing this does not like moisture. as far as i can tell theres no vacuum leaks (carb cleaner) and according to the scanner the idle is where it needs to be. where would you start???? im completley stumped on this.
Did you replace the cap & rotor?
Our Farmall 460 used to experience problems on rainy or humid days because it was getting moisture inside the cap. We sprayed it with a silicone spray, been fine ever since.
theres no moisture in the cap and yes it is new(er) maybe has 5 thousand miles on it. i was poking around today and i found a little moisture on the pcm pins so maybe that was it. ill see tommorro morning. also i love how it cant store freaking codes. i hate obd1 ****. i have a CEL at idle but i cant read it because it only does it after about 10 miles.
