I had this on my truck as the bigger turbo on a compound system and since I had all the parts in the garage, I mocked it all together to take a few clarifying pics for anyone who might want to do the same.
It definatly went under the truck but these trucks are 20 feet long. lol
That is why I was wandering what he used the pickup for, it would render it useless to me.
Where was your turbo located and what was the truck used for.
Why are you getting rid of it.
It mounted next to the transmission. I was mostly playing with it. I had to turbos plumbed in series but the smaller turbo was prone to the compressor wheel fins shearing off. I guess 15 psi in a 3" pipe hitting a 150,000 rpm wheel causes damage. I didn't want to have a custom wheel made and then I developed a knock in the engine so I put a stock motor in and don't feel like doing any more experimenting.
I mostly used it to pull a travel trailer. For that it worked pretty well. I could make 10 psi at 650 egt's all day. Even at 18+ psi I never got my egt's over 800.
