Question about my new Excursion

Hey all, new to this forum. Just picked up my Excursion on Friday from North Carolina and drove it back to NJ. I absolutely love it! Its a 2005 Eddie Bauer, blue/tan, 6.0 diesel with 69,000 miles on it.

I had one question that didn't seem to be answered anywhere in the owners manaul. Does the truck come with some type of leveling system? The reason I ask is when I first start it and after I shut it off I hear some type of motor intermittently going on and off for a few seconds at a time in 30 second intervals or so. It seems to be coming from the left rear area but haven't been able to pinpoint its location.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

Thanks for the input. Any ideas what I might be hearing? It sounds like an electric motor or pump that goes on for a few seconds every 30 seconds or so for about 5 minutes after I shut the truck off. It sounds like its coming from the right rear of the truck and can be heard from the interior.

Could it be the rear HVAC unit set to climate control? I can't think of what else would be back in that part of the truck.
