I took my truck to a lake today for 4x4 ice drags. 1/4 mile "drag strip" plowed out on the lake. Had a good time, one my first round, got eliminated on the second. Not sure of ET but trap speed was 75 mph on my first run. It all came down to lane choice, one lane was near perfect, the other had a lot of "new ice" that was very slick. Made for a fun ride down the track, sideways at 65mph.
It was on Balsam Lake. It was pretty fun, just wish they had flooded both lanes instead of just the bad one, it would have been a lot more even competition. I should have called a few more of the 7.3 guys, but I wasn't even sure if I would go until the morning of the event.
Had about 6" of snow, time to plow out myself and the neighbors.
This truck has been my "problem child" the last couple years, seems like I've been under it as much as I've been in it. As I've said before, if you want to ruin a good truck, put a snow plow on it.
We had about 2-3" since last Friday. Nothing to major, kinda wish it had been more.

I did the same thing today Pete, though it was only 2-3". Didn't really need to plow it, just did it because I can. So far, so good with mine(knock on wood) I'm pretty easy on it when plowing though.
Im fixing plow damage even tough i dont have my plow anymore
I hear ya Nick.
Besides all the banging around, you're out on the roads slopping around getting the maximum amount of salt on everything.
I'd like to replace my two "beater" farm trucks with one good one, but that's just not on the cards for a few years.

That sure does sound like a good time Mike. I'll have to keep my ears open for something like that around here.
