93 starting issues

93 starting issues

just bought this 93 had a 5.0 the person i got it from put a 91 5.0 h.o out of a mustang i have it all together and it wont start i have fuel and spark tried both firing orders for the h.o and the non h.o motors but no bang any ideas would be greatly appreciated

has it ever ran? I think iv heard of people running into issues with the computer if it wasnt swapped with the engine.

But i dont really know. And some others will chime in with more info.

i heard somewhat the same this is the first ford ive owned i was thinkin maybe i could put a ecm out of a mustang in it but i was told it wont plug into the truck harness

You need to have a HO Mass Air computer to make this work. I doesn't necessarily have to be a Mustang, but it does need to be HO. The computer will plug into the truck harness, but you'll need to do several pin changes at the connector for it to run. Lots of good information here, including pin outs for common computers.
