Question

BIG PROBLEM!!!!!

i have a bad distributor in my 90 f150 w/5.0 and the problem is that the distributor gear sheared and now i go to get another gear or whole thing and i dont know that the deciding factor is for it to be a steel gear or a cast gear the auto parts store that i look at on the parts say the neither one is interchangealbe please help if you can

They aren't interchangeable. Get the same kind as your sheared one.

Your 90 will have a cast gear , the newer roller cam motors have a steel cam & gear...Lew, the non rollers are cast
