question
last night i drove my 05 PSD for a little bit to do run an errand when i got where I was going I shut my truck off but then had to move it right away. When i went to start it it hesitated to start but fired up. about 30 minutes later I went to go home it wouldnt start. it was cranking but it wouldnt fire. I left it there and got another ride home. This morning i went to get it the battery was dead ( prolly from cranking it last night?) i jumped it and it started right up. any ideas why it wouldnt fir last night?

It's 6 years old, are your batteries the originals? A battery can internally short and discharge both of them, then when you're pulling all the amperage to crank, the PCM receives too low of voltage to fire off the injectors. Just an idea.
Might want to put a volt meter on a battery and if the voltage drops below 11.8v while cranking think about replacing them both.
