SUV's Unsafe???????

I agree that there is way too much of a liberal bias in the mass media. But they don't think so. They think they are more informed than conservatives or more intelligent or whatever. they really believe that they are mainstreet america with an IQ boost. Mass media does not understand or perhaps not appreciate mainstream american values. IMHO. There are things from both political idealogies that I agree with depending on the issue. But some of the liberal agendas I find so distasteful. But we will keep getting drubbed on the anti SUV fervor. No doubt about that because it's NEWS!

I gotta sorta agree with this, I've seen a lot of accidents over the course of my life, and most of them have involved SUV's.... Driven by the female persuasion. It's weird too, because I hardly ever see women in other kinds of cars getting into accidents unless they're very young or very old.

-----------

But maybe I don't know anything, Because I also think they should reclassify the larger SUV's like the Expedition, etc, into a different driving class and require additional driving tests by the dmv.

You know, kind of like motorcyclists.

Amazing isn't it? I remember reading a survey done on media/reporter types. Most live in gated communities or high class apartments, in big cities like New York or San Francisco and are driven from one location to another via limos and dare I say, SUVs. Oh, and over 90% of them vote democrat. How can they be "in touch" with America like they claim when they spend most of their time sheltering themselves from the unwash public? They claim to be open minded and tolerant, but can't see past their own ideology. It's OK for them to use SUV because they truly have a need, they need a thick container to protect themselves from the real people out there in the mean world, but it's not OK for you to do the same. Heaven forbid they get their hands dirty. I have no respect for them or there chosen profession. They rank right up there with slimy lawyers.

SUV's Unsafe???????

It has been over a month since I saw this post and wanted to add one more thing. I saw this guy on TV (C-SPAN 2) last week, and he did not do a good job promoting his ideas. He was talking about his book to a room full of people, that asked him various questions about his ideas on SUV's. I listened for about 20 minutes and found the Author to be unconvincing. His point- that SUV's are unsafe, is not well founded, and he lacked the communication skills to to get his point across. If there is any truth of unsafe SUV's, You would be better off looking elsewhere for a breakdown of the facts.

SUV's Unsafe???????

When I'm not having my daily rollover or nerfing Hyundai's with "Baby on Board" signs, I try to drive responsibly.
