ignition switch wiring. also can some please tell me how the lever for the 4x4 is to go. what i mean is it 4h N 2h 4L . my shifter has no ****, can i put 36s on without a lift kit?
Ignition switch wires are a pain. Why do you need the wiring??
As far as the 36's. That would be a no go. Techinially you could get away with it if you drove a straight line and no turns. I have a Chevy with a six inch lift and it has 35's and they rub sometimes when the front end is articulated. So to answer your question. You need AT LEAST a four inch lift to fit those meats
i dont know what tranfer case i have. i have a 1978 f150 351m 4speed. where do i findout. the reason i want the wiring harness is, when i was working on it, i noticed one of the wires was just about broke where is going in the connecter
Oh I gottcha. I believe you would have to go salvage one, or see if a parts store has them (doubt it though) Could ask number dummy.
On the back half of the transfer case there should be some sort of metal tag, either rectangular or circle. Should tell you everything you need to know about what TCase it is.
Hope this picture can help you with the wiring issue. I had a similar issue. One of the wires fell out on the previous owner, he stuck it back into the wrong spot and that is why the heater blower didn't work. I had to go to the junk yard to take a look at another one to figure out where the wires went. Had no idea it was in the wrong spot until I compared it to another.
