Rear Axle Question?

I just bough a new truck and I was wondering what axle was powering the wheels. Its posi track (left twin stripes under my tires). There are 10 bolts on the casing. There is a number 31 stamped into it and 4m22. There are some other numbers but without a wire brush can't tell what they are. Can anyone here eyeball what axle this is?

Looks like an 8" or 9" rear end.

That is a 9". The early ones had a round rear face like that, and the pioion support looks larger than an 8" one too.
