interior lights keep coming on

On my 99 Crew all of a sudden, my Door ajar light is staying on and when I am stopped the interior lights are coming on, they go off once I hit 15. I checked all the doors and they are secure and tight.

Could it be one of the door sensors? If so where are they I don't see anying around the door.

Anyone run across this???

Thanks
Brian

Most all of us have ran accross this, It is normally a quick fix of shooting WD-40 or a like in all of the door latches..

For me, it is the door that was used the lease, and one day I used it. Others, I dont know what happend fo rthem or caused it, but WD-40 is MOST of the time the fix..

If not, get back on line, there were a couple of guys just recently that were beyond the use of WD 40

Is that where the sensors are, cause all the doors are shutting tight....

The sensors are in the door latches. To replace them you have to take off the interior door panel to get to the latch. The penetrating oil fix usually works or at least is a first try.

THis may be what happened for you, but for many and most others, the WD-40 works, so please, offer your support if or after it doesnt work.

No amount of WD40 or PB Blaster works to keep the interior light from coming on and going off when driving and stopping.
It's got to be something else..
The interior light stays on until 15 MPH the it goes off when I stop it comes back on intil I reach 15 MPH again.
What causes this ?
Anyone or anything to try ?

Mine was an easy fix, the rear passenger door was the problem. Lots of WD40 and it did solve that one..

Thanks Guys

I am looking at this and believe it to be the GEm module, I am trying to find a location for it, as well as a price.

I have this for you

"If it does turn out to be the GEM module, see if you can get the id number off it,and send me a line from my web page, look like I could sell it to you for around $250.00 but there are a few different ones listed so i need some info or id number.

Ed "

And I have also have others making note as to check the conections. Trying to figure out where it is at.
