Sorry for beating a dead horse.. But surely thers a way to get the door ajar lit to go off.. On my extended cab there are big rivets holding the switch and rear door handle in place.. So I cut the wires going to the switch and wired them together.. No luck the ajar lite is still on now my interior light won't go off until I pull the fuse.. I tried to reach the ajar lite from underneath, just to take it out but i guess you have to pull the dash..
I'm at my wits end here I know the interior light stays on for a while after you close the door, mine stays on all the time, therefore pulling the fuse.
Anyone, please what can be done... I've got stuff laying everywhere trying to figure this out.
spray wd-40 into the latch...the contacts in there get gummed up. i usually spray a bit into the latch, open and shut the door a few time, spray some more...then no more lights one. hope it works....
Now the interior lite stays on until I get above 15 MPH then it goes off. But when I stop it comes on again then goes off when I get above 15 MPH..
Whats going on with all this ?
