Well I couldn't find a frostbite thread. So who's going?
Clint Garret and I are planning on leaving Friday (25th) @ around 3:30. Dinner somewhere... breakfast @ the FOrt Scott inn, Lunch at the park-- Supper at the Mexican place in Ft Scott, then hang out at the hotel, Breakfast at the cheesey dinner in Ft. Scott, then back home by 1 or 2:00.
Count me in! don't know my complete schedule like you do, but rest assured, providing the baby Rubi doesn't fail on me on the way down, we will be there.
yeah, it did Del, it warmed up almost immediately, and stayed in the 190-210 area, I was going to do the drive out around the lake, across the dam trip, but they are doing construction on that bridge by the little grill, so I just brought it home, it stayed a niced even temp, and Maddie complained because her feet were getting too hot, so she made me turn the temperature down.
I brought the old thermostat in last night, to look at it, it was stuck open hard, I had to get a screw driver out to pry it shut, then I couldn't push it back. I boiled it, and it just bearly cracked open, I finally got it hot enough to get it to crack open a little more, then removed it from heat, where it stayed cracked open, and I had to force it closed again.
I'm in such a bad mood-- I planned on cleaning out the truck-- capping off the fluids, checking tire preasure ect ect and it hasn't gotten done. then the 2 days I have left to work on it are nice and sunny and a stupid bank vault locks up and I have to drill a whole big enough for me to crawl through today-- going to take all day so much for leaving early. going to be an extremely busy day tomorrow... so much to do so little time.
I did have trouble with my 97 one time. I was driving home from Utah on I70 and the defrost did ok going up the devide. But when I headed down this side toward Denver it iced up the windshield. Coasting down hill at 55 mph it just wouldn't make enough heat to keep the windshield clear in a snow storm.
Way to go on the heat Curtis. You know you singlehandedly have broken the cold weather we have had and now it will warm up and you won't need the heater much.

Shore is lonely on the boards. I suppose there are adult beverage places in Fort Scott that many chapter members are at. Kind o difficult ta post from them places.
