Front diff bearing bad?

I have a 2004 V10, just bought, 98,XXX miles, from a stop, when I take off, I hear a light humming/bearing noise, if I let off the gas, its gone, give it gas it back, light noise, but you can hear it, I am guessing diff bearings since its only under a accel load?

Is there any possibility it could be a leaking exhaust?

I doubt it is the front diff or pinon bearing as unless you are in 4wd its not turning. if its the rear usually you will feel a vibration. I would start by pulling the fill plug and checking the condition of the diff oil... if its soupy you have water contamination in the axle and probably have a bad bearing or two... raise the axle and disconnect the drive shaft and remove the wheels. you should be able to feel a bad bearing by turning the pinon gear and axles by hand. any slop or lateral movement will also indicate an internal bearing problem....

New to you, eh? Do check the rear diff. Check the level, dump the fluid and inspect. If all looks well refill with dino oil. Synthetic can pass more noise.
Other things to check... wheel bearings, u-joints, something (exhaust pipe?) rubbing under accel.
