what make /alternator
Do we have in these b II's? I have an 89' that the alt. went bad and i just want to get a rebuild kit,,cheaper that way..4$ for new brushes and so on...
mine is the one with the harness on top and smaller one on the side..is it a g6 or g4? need to know so i can get the parts soon..thanx all..

By the time you buy all the parts that might be wrong with your alternator, you will probably have spent more money than getting a good reman unit..... do you know which parts are bad for sure? Did a little looking around, and they are 3G units. You can buy a 95 amp alternator for $115 (on sale @ motor city reman: http://www.motorcityreman.com/9196escort19l.html <-- yeah, you'll go "ESCORT 1.9L?!?!?!?"... it'll swap in.... one of the junkyard special upgrades for the 2.9

I have a new alternator for your application for a little over 100 bucks w/free shipping.
With our alternators they are not remans 100% brand new,so there's no core charge to deal with either.Here's a link to them if you would like to check them out.
