Centerforce Clutches?
I have a 76' F-250 4x4, and its about time to replace the clutch, I was wondering if
anyone had used these clutches on their Fords?
Do they hold up to their reputation? Are they
That great of a clutch or would I be better off getting one form my local
auto parts store?

Centerforce Clutches?
I put one in my 74F250 FWD I havn't actually had a chance to drive it yet as it is a full resto and I am still painting and installing the interior... Any way it sure seems to be built alot stronger than a stock clutch. I also replaced the pilot bushing with a ball bearing.. I am using the single disk setup, they also make a dual disk if your cranking that kind of horspower. This is a "diaphram" type clutch which in the past I have had problems with them not wanting to engage at high RPMS; the pedal would stay on the floor till you let off the gas and then the clutch would slam up and engage. This was in a GTX with a 440 & close ratio 4 speed. They have installed counter wieghts on the fingers to rectify this problem. This was a common problem with diaphram clutches and the counter wights are supposed to solve it. Soon as I get it on the road I will let you know how it goes...
