Just got done doing the front brakes on my 2001 Ex. I found that on both sides that the top slider pins of the calipers were stuck and not sliding. For now I used some regular grease on the pins after cleaning the corrosion off. Didnt really have time to figure out which grease was the right stuff. Any Ideas on which grease is the right stuff to use. Thanks as always!
Caliper sliding pins require high temperature resistant "silicone grease" . Ask for it at any auto part stores and re-do the greasing . Normal grease will bake and sliding pins gets siezed . Good luck.
thanks that is what I was looking for, The grease that is in there has some Temperature resistance, it is out of a high stress and heat generating area that we use on aircraft. Fortunately the EX is not my daily driver and I will be redoing the pins this weekend. I appreciate your knowledge and will be putting it to good use!
