Is it possible to remove a long bed on 1966 F-100 frame and replace it with a short stepside bed?

Yes, However it requires cutting and modification to the frame rails twice to bring the wheel base to 115".

The Chevy bed will look decent if it is a early model. Dunno what you can do about the tail gate though.

Yes shortbeds are 115 inch center of axle to center of spindle.

It is like Dave said, but it is way too involved. Short bed chassis are to easy to come by to go to all that much trouble. IMHO

It is not much trouble to shorten one. a lot easier than lengenthing one.
Take the piece out of the straight part of the frame and fishplate it on the inside.
