tackled Mt Ranier this weekend

Took the new truck (2010 SCREW FX4 6.5) up to Mt Ranier yesterday for some sledding with the kids. We passed at least 3 cars that had gone off the road. After the snow got about 1 inch deep on the way up the mountain, I put it in 4HI, unlocked. I never noticed any slipping, ever. By the time we got up to the top (Paradise) there were at least 6 inches on the road before the plow could get to it. It continued to snow while we were there and was downright nasty when we began driving down. I used tow/haul mode on the way down, and definately noticed the trans downshift as I tapped the brakes... really a neat feature. I barely even used the brakes coming off the mountain. I would have to say, the RSC and the tow haul modes are very refined and are going to get a lot of use from me in the future. I did try the locker once in the snow too, just for a few feet to see how it worked... I guess the snow wasn't deep enough to bog me down because I didn't notice any difference. But still glad to have the e-locker for the inevitable bogs in the future.
