Banks System

Ok, now that I'm getting my game plan for attending to my new and first Diesel 6.0lit Ford 2004 Truck, I'm starting to get things straight in my head. I'll probably be posting each of my projects sepertly.

1st Question: I see most are not in favor of the Six Gun Banks System.
So, according to the Banks manual, if I use #1 I'll be at the factory settings. Is this true?

If I want to remover the Banks 6 Gun system, is it easy to remove? Is there any programing I would need to do after removing it? What are the steps in removal? or should I have a professional remove it?

2nd Question: I also the the Banks Speed Loader. What the deal on this? Is it good? What does it do? Please advise

Many thanks,

Lee

How to Add a Cooler Filter?

2004 6.0lit with 30k original miles

From the overall consisis I've decided to add a cooler filter which seems easy to install.

Questions:
1. Do I drain the coolent prior to installing the cooler filter kit?
2. Do I flush the coolent system instead of draining?
3. Do I leave the coolent in the system and just add the cooler filter kit then change the coolent at 50k miles?

Thanks again you guys!!

Oil Type & Quanity?

2004 6.0lit Diesel 30k original Miles

I see some post about people using 5W-40 instead of the 15W-40.

Whats the story on the difference and why?
Did I read my manual right, does it really take 15 quarts?

Sill quesion, I know how to change the oil in a gas vehicle but can someone please give me the steps from A-Z on changing it on my new sweetness?

Again Thanks for all for your help
