idle problem

I have an 1991 F-250 with a 302. When first started (cold) the engine idles very low, rpms about like a warm idle should be. Then when the engine is hot after running the idle is very high, about 1500 rpm. What is causing this?

Go to Autozone and have them pull the codes from your computer. Could be the IAC...

No codes are coming up on the computer. I just replaced the IAC last night, no difference. Any other ideas?

Look for a vacuum leak and try disconnecting the TPS and IAC at a warm idle to see if it makes any difference.

Sounds like problem we are having with 91 f150 with 302. It idles about 2000 win warmed up. We took the two intake hoses off the throttle body, put caps over the two inlets, and the truck would still idle high. Then also put finger over pcv inlet and put penny in egr line to block that air and engine still idled high. This is my first post on forum.
