DP-tuner and mileage

I ran my DP on 140hp all day and drove to Marysville KS and back today(400 miles round trip) and got better mileage than when it's set on 80e. Why would that happen? EGT's ran between 450 and 550 deg. Gained 4 MPG.

Does that mean I have something done to my truck that I should know about? Just seems weird to me, don't want to hurt my truck.

What is your MPG before you did that and what was it in the 140 tune. I have never really just ran around in my 140 tune long but I guess you can I have watched my egts while in 140 and not getting on it, and as you said it runs normal.

Jody recommends that you NOT run around in 140 for everyday driving. A lot of cylinder pressure.

I have to drain a little fuel buildup out of the tank every now and then.

24 mpg? Not trying to insult your math ability or anything, but it seems like that calculation might be off significantly. I've never heard of mpgs that high on a PSD. But then again, I'm no expert.

I've heard of it, my overhead display shows that, it actually gets 13.4.

I don't think 25 mpg is impossible; just very very tough to hit. Chances are that you'll never hit that unless you're really trying. Since these tanks don't always fill nice either, I think a few times when people are doing hand calculated mpg tests, they might be off a fair bit.

When I was experimenting with my hydrogen generator, I had to spend about 10 minutes filling up the last few inches of the fuel tank. It looks like it's full then you rock the truck and it takes more.

On the flip flop, if you actually got that type of mileage just fluking it, thats amazing.

Was that on your diesel, or for your gaser? Found some research on the embrittlment of metal by hydrogen and laid that research to the side.

It was on the diesel.

Some say it doesnt do anything, others claim you can drive for free on water.

What I will say, is that it can definitely effect mileage positively. I know there was some good math floating around at the time disproving this, but there are literally thousands of people using hydrogen systems that claim small, but justifiable results.

In the end, it gets -40 out here, and I do not usually pay for diesel, so it was more of a pain in the rear than anything else.
