Transmission Filter Retainer

I need to locate a new screw and clip that hold the transmission filter in place. I can't ever find anything on LMC's website, and I really don't want to hit the junk yard. Is there a place to order this part? What is the correct name of the part?

My bad. I figured once I got the name of the part I could find the one for my truck. My truck has an E40 and RWD.

Really? When I changed the filter I did not see a clip, so I assumed it was lost by the previous owner. The filter does stay in by it self, but not very well.

With that said you are correct. The E40D does not have anything but the rubber gasket to hold the filter in. Interesting.

Thanks!

just make sure you get the 2wd filter not the 4wd filter.

make sure old rubber ring is out, common mistake.

i think the pan helps hold it on.

look in your manual for a pic.

i am not near one right now.

also, crappy filters may not stay on, i recommend going to ford dealer for these.
