I am from Salina. My truck is a 73 hi-boy with a C6 and 428. I have had the truck since 1995. It was my grandpa's. He bought it new in 73. It was a bare truck, power nothing! It had 43000 on it when I got it. It was in pretty good shape. It has lots of dents from the farm, very litttle rust. The worst is from a leaking front windshield. I t has rusted the fronjt drives side floor. It was never left outside till I got it. I now have a place to keep it inside. I put the 428 in it and and changed it over to a C6. I have been trying to get powere assit to work on it. I am not having much luck on that so far. It is on but not working that well. I also changed the front axel to a 76 with disk brakes. Still need to add the power set up. I have been collecting parts to redo her over the past 15 years. I have every thing I need to get started, new ford doors, ford door hinges, rust free bed and tailgate, ect. I want to add a gas tank in the rear and lose the one behind the seat before I start the body work. I love to go to the lake in the summertime. Thanks for the welcome, hope this is not to long. Look forweard to any questions you have. Thanks again Jim
Nice overview there Jim. Not too long at all. Those Hi Boys are great trucks and always look nice. There are a bunch of us in the Manhattan, Wichita, Abilene areas and maybe we can have a chapter gathering in Salina soon and have a chance to meet. You are more than welcome to join us at any of our gatherings. A bunch of are going to the swap meet in Wichita on Saturday Feb. 6th.
Welcome Jim,
make yourself at home here, you will find that we are a tight knit group, and our underlying moto is "the more the merrier"
Like Del mentioned we have G2Gs all over, usually we try to center it so that everyone can get involved, we do campouts, and other activities throughout the year that you are welcome to partake in.
Looking forward to getting to know ya!
I love FE engines. Make mine a tripower 406 or dual quad 427. Droool.. My 2.8 in my bronco is a somewhat simular design, as the intake is part of the heads, with the pushrods going thru it. Designed areond the same era I believe.
I will post pictures asap. I think this site is awesome! Would like to go to a a meeting when you have one. My try and go to Wichita and meet some of you.

Welcome!!!! Well the swapmeet is the 5th and 6th-- we are getting together at spangles in Park city before the swapmeet for breakfast-- then we are going to lunch somwhere-- there is a thread about it-- feel free to attend either or both.
We generally try to have a g2g attached with another event, but sometimes the g2g is just for WHATEVER -- We try and have them at centralized locations-- Abilene, Emporia, but sometimes they are in KC, Wichita ect. We have had them in Salina and Moundridge too. So if you want to host one just let us know!
Now for the important thing--- are the voices in your head evil like mine... or fuzzy bunnies--- or maybe evil fuzzy bunnies disguised as cute innocent ones?
