Found my door code

So I finally decided to print out the 3000 digit sequence of numbers to find out if I could actually get the code for my door. I seperated them into sections, a buddy and I got bundled up and one of us read the number while the other punched the code. Sure enough, about 10 minutes in we hit the code. I was pretty surprised. I was skeptical that it would work. My buddy didn't think it would work at all, so when the door locks popped he was astounded. Seeing as we are both police officers we are also astounded that this can be so easy. I am happy that it worked. I can now spend $50 somewhere else.

Certain years have the code hidden in the vehicle stuck on things like the GEM module behind the radio. I have even heard they are also found near the rear HVAC on a sticker. Anyway, I have a 2000 and they did not hide the code in it. So this is the method I used:
Weak security in our daily lives@Everything2.com

I found it on pg 11 of this post:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ypad-code.html

and if you just want the code I will paste it here and you can cut and copy into word and print it. Then just enter the numbers as they are, and when your doors unlock back up 5 numbers and that is your code. It is also easier if you break it up into sections. Sorry for the long post.

Isnt anyone really worried that its really easy to get into our trucks without us knowing ?

I thought about this for ages and wondered if it would be possible to disconnect the pad , as anyone could take 5-10 mins punching numbers in the middle of the night and empty the contents without anybody knowing , till you go out in the morning..
has anyone disconnected the pads without any problems ?

After I found out how easy it really was I am thinking about disconnecting it. But these vehicles are just as easy to get into with a slim jim, so I guess I will just remove my valuables. I had an alarm on my last truck. I will probably get one in this truck too. Here is another alternative:

If you think its easy to get in using this code, you should see how long it takes to get in when the thief uses a screwdriver. It literally takes a thief, with decent skills less than 10 seconds to access these trucks. Your best bet without a doubt is an alarm system with a visual theft deterent. Those blinking red or blue lights on peoples dashes are a huge deterent to thiefs.

It was more the local scummy kids that tend to hang around the back alley's or my back of my house i'm more worried about.

they have all noticed the X sitting there and noticed the buttons on the door , would not be the first time they have pushed the buttons to see what happens , usually when i see the interior lights come on from my living room i tend to run out with a big stick or worse if i could

yes alarm would be the way to go , i am now assuming the factory fitted thing is crap then and not an alarm , does it just sound the horn after i push the red button, when i loose it in a car park (not that easy in the uk )

The factory alarm works on the dome light relay. Basically as soon as the door opens the horns sounds and the lights flash. Aftermarket, is the way to go.

I used this code and I got my entry into my 2000 EX on the third line. I wasn't even past the neck on my Bud light yet!
